Dr. Hari Conjeevaram
Dr. Hari Conjeevaram has been actively involved in the Sri Sathya Sai Organization (SSSIO) for over three decades. He is currently the Co-Chairman of the SSSIO Humanitarian Relief Committee, Zone 1 (USA, Canada, West Indies) Medical Director, and a member of the SSSIO International Medical Committee. In the USA, he currently serves as the National Young Adult (YA) Male Advisor.
He has coordinated numerous local and international medical camps, including those in Prasanthi Nilayam, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Africa as well as disaster relief missions in the USA, Sri Lanka, Haiti, Philippines, and Ecuador.
Professionally, Dr. Conjeevaram is a practicing Gastroenterologist and a Tenured Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. In addition to patient care, he has been actively involved in clinical research and education (both in the United States and globally). He has won numerous local, regional and national awards for education, mentoring, humanism, and community service, some of which include “Commendation Medal for Exemplary Performance of Duty” from President Clinton, “Dean’s Award for Community Service", “Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine”, “Distinguished Lifetime Educator Award” by the American Gastroenterological Association, and “American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Community Service Award”.
