With our beloved Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba's blessings, Region 6 would like to invite you along with family and friends to the annual one-day retreat, Sai Reflection Day- a day when we come together as ONE to reflect on Sathya Sai Baba’s life, His message, and His teachings to renew our efforts to make ourselves worthy instruments and realize our own inner divinity. This year we will be reflecting on the theme - We are All One - Be Alike to EveryOne. A long time devotee of our Lord and former director of Institute of Sathya Sai Education, USA (ISSE-USA), Dr. Hymon Johnson will be the guest speaker, see his detailed bio.
Please mark your calendars and join on Saturday, April 27th at East Shore Unitarian Church in Bellevue, WA. Do register now!!!
Initiatives
Spiritual Discipline Program
This year we are introducing a region-wide Spiritual Discipline Program. We highly encourage you and your family (yes! even kids) to practice various ways to become aware of realization that we are all One. This sadhana plan is an incentive to practice His message, so that we can continue the journey of self-transformation as a group. By understanding His message, by observing Him, by getting a taste of His Love is the way to understanding ourselves.
Zero-Waste Initiative
To express our gratitude to Mother Earth, in line of going Green, the youth of region 6 have put together a Sai Green Kit. We request all retreat attendees to bring their Sai Green Kits for themselves and their families. If attendees bring their own containers, it will help us reduce the waste.
Service Projects
Eye Glasses Collection Drive
A team of volunteers from the United States and Trinidad came together to serve the vision needs across remote areas in Trinidad in December of 2015. During the clinic, they were able to serve over 1000 patients in 3 days. A similar clinic is being planned in Trinidad later this year as well. In preparation, we are organizing a glasses collection drive. Devotees, who wish to serve by donating glasses, can do so by either (a) taking those glasses to their respective centers and devotional group meetings or (b) bringing those to the retreat and dropping those in the designated bins placed at the retreat venue. The following glasses in good conditions will be accepted.
- Reading glasses
- Sun glasses
- Prescription glasses
